This 8 week course is designed to promote your overall health and wellbeing, and will incorporate both general mindfulness and specific meditation techniques to deal with managing stress, anxiety and pain, improve focus and concentration, and boost vitality and energy.
The course is based on teachings from the Zen tradition which has been practised in Japan since the 9th Century, but are taught in a way that is relevant to your life today.
This course is suitable for you if you’re looking for an introduction to mindfulness and meditation or are looking for a way to deal with stress, build resilience and feel more in control. This nurturing 8 week course will transform your mindset and enable you to lead a calmer and happier life.
The price is for 8 classes of 90 minutes each and includes all course materials and guided meditations to keep. The sessions will run every Thursday from 7.30pm to 9pm via the Zoom platform.
Additional Information
There is some light reading material which accompanies the course for you to read at home, and this will help you to consolidate your learning. In addition to the reading, every week more formal home-learning will be set, and it is essential that in order to get the maximum benefit from the course you commit to a daily 30 minute mindfulness practice, which will have been taught in class the previous week. If you have any uncertainties about being able to commit this time please do speak to me before booking your place. There are also some other shorter practices which you will be encouraged to adopt over the duration of the course. These do not require a special time commitment.
This course is not suitable for you if you have been diagnosed with a serious psychiatric condition such as schizophrenia. If you are suffering from any other condition and are uncertain as to your suitability please contact me. If you are experiencing anxiety or depression this course can be extremely helpful. If in any doubt contact your GP.
Refunds & Terms
By booking your course you understand that you are holding a space, so reservations for this course are non-refundable. In the unlikely event that Kate Hughes Meditation has to cancel this event due to unforeseen circumstances you understand that you will receive a full refund. If you are unable to attend the session, a recording can be made available to you so that you can catch up before the subsequent session. Please note that the contents of any recordings remain the property of Kate Hughes Meditation and are not for use by anyone not taking this course.
